Children's Programs

Children's Programs at Caroline House educate, encourage, and prepare students with academic skills and self-esteem to inspire successful outcomes in school and in life.

In the Preschool Program children are taught and nurtured by experienced, caring staff and volunteers.   Preschoolers learn and explore through educational activities that increase school-readiness skills. Children also learn important self-help and social skills such as listening, cooperating and respecting others.

After-School Tutoring and Summer Enrichment for school-age children help to increase language, reading, writing and math levels.  Tutoring also helps cultivate a greater interest in learning for the inner-city children served.  Caroline House is grateful to have many adult volunteers as well as high-school and college students who tutor and mentor children after school and in the special 3-week summer session.
